Clyde Valley Group Fun and Information Day
Over 150 people attended our first Fun and Information Day on Saturday 26th April 2008.
We invited all of our tenants and owners to the special event at M&D’s conference centre at Strathclyde Park.
The day boasted a variety of information and advice stands explaining the Association’s future plans, with staff on hand to answer questions.
Those in attendance were also given the opportunity to speak to Board Members and Chief Executive Tom Barclay.
Strathclyde Police, North Lanarkshire Credit Union, Recap, Energy Advice, Money Advice and North and South Lanarkshire Councils also set up stands.
Good Neighbour Awards were presented to Brenda and John O’Rourke and Ian and Ann McLean by the Association’s Chairman Tom Campbell, while prizes were also presented to Caroline (12) and John Williamson (6) of Motherwell as the winners of the annual calendar competition by Secretary Helen Layden.
Special guests included Captain Jack Sparrow, Sean Connery and Marilyn Monroe - all lookalikes of course!
Pictured above with Secretary Helen Layden and Jack Sparrow lookalike, the Association’s Chairman, Tom Campbell said: "It was a truly great day out and has given the Association lots of feedback and information to continue to improve its services for all of its customers in the future. Thanks to everyone who attended".
